“New vibrations from an old master” was the marketing campaign to promote some new designs from RCA. This record player claimed that it looked and carried like a hatbox, although it’s hard to believe that was what consumers were craving. This combo 2-speed phonograph features a “Powerlift” AM radio. Only produced in one color, fog white.
I’ve had one of these for years. Curiosity gots the best of me on how much it could be worth. It’s mostly been just for looks or occasionally play some of my 7″ tracks. Being a DJ for over 20 years and growing up with vinyl being played most any time music was put on, but I still love the sound, look, and feel of records old and new. Another question is that the fabric that dressed the border is gone now… could that be replaced? If so could I possibly get one from RCA? And does the platter come off? I would love to clean and restore any and all parts that could possibly need attention. And if any parts need replaced could RCA assist with getting the parts? It works perfectly fine, but I would LOVE to take it out with me when I play on my other portable at music shows or random events around town. Does it use C or D batteries or does it use a specific type… any information would be greatly appreciated ~
Thank you in advance

There are 4 screws on the bottom as shown in one of the found images. That will get you access to motor and any other parts you want to maintain. The unit runs on 6 “C” batteries. As for the fabric, you would have to do something custom. RCA doesn’t support anything from this long ago. Hope that helps. Enjoy!
What is this record player worth ?
I have this particular phonograph. Where can I find a needle and the cover for the batteries and cord. Thanks!
